Shawn Klein, Founder

Shawn Klein serves as President of Grafen Advisors, a role he has held since he founded the firm in 2010. Mr. Klein brings decades of global investment experience across portfolio management, macro strategy, and equity and fixed income research. He previously served as a Portfolio Manager and Director of Macro Research at a US$10 billion commodity focused global macro hedge fund, where he managed an emerging markets and basic industries focused equity portfolio. Earlier in his career, he launched a top performing emerging markets equity research product for an independent research firm where his clients included some of the world’s largest asset managers. 

He founded the firm to deliver independent, actionable investment ideas — combining fundamental reasoning with data-driven analytics — to help investors make informed and actionable decisions across global markets.
